The adidas Ultra Boost is back. After a few years on the back burner, 2015’s shoe of the year is being given a new life. This month, adidas continues the Consortium release lineup with Études revealing their Ultra Boost Uncaged
When adidas first introduced the Ultra Boost in 2015, they did so in glorious fashion. The new running silhouette was handed off to the Consortium team for a series of high-profile collaborative releases with the likes of Stella McCartney, Kris Van Asche, and more. Now, the Three Stripes is taking the Ultra Boost back to its roots with new Consortium Collective releases dropping over the next few months. The first of which has come and gone, and now, Parisian retailer Études has revealed their luxurious new Ultra Boost Uncaged silhouette.
The latest entry in adidas’ Ultra Boost Consortium series is a bold new take on the Uncaged silhouette. First released in the years after the OG, the uncaged variation of the Ultra Boost silhouette has had its ups and downs since its debut. This month, Études has given the shoe a beautiful new makeover for their turn in the Consortium spotlight. The upper on this Ultra Boost begins with a deep blue shade of Primeknit. The typical pattern used or the shoe has been discarded, instead replaced with a much simpler style, which breaks the upper apart into block-like sections. The toe box of both shoes features six stars in a half circle on the medial side, creating a full loop when the shoes are pushed together. Finally, the new Consortium Ultra Boost is decked out with premium details, including black Boost and heel cup.

adidas’ next entry in the new Consortium Collective pack is scheduled for a worldwide release on September 14th, 2018. Similar to last months AKOG release, a global drop is expected in the following weeks. This special-edition Ultra Boost from Études will retail for $200 exclusively from adidas Consortium accounts.
