Dover Street Market has grown into a high fashion staple over the years. It’s been a while since they last collaborated with Nike, and this time they’ve prepared an Air Max 1.
Dover Street Market originally got it’s start in London, created by Comme des Garcon founder Rei Kawakubo and her husband. The brand’s stores in New York, Singapore, and Tokyo house some of the finest and most luxurious high fashion brands the world has to offer. DSM has also been known to apply their extremely minimal aesthetic to collaborative products such as the patent leather Air Jordan 1 “Navy” from 2015. Back again to collaborate with Nike, this release will include a Dover Street Market Air Max 1 in a black colorway. The upper of the shoe appears to be covered with a high quality, soft black suede, while the midsole is a standard AM1 sole in white. The minimal details on the upper are made to stand out, including a white mini Swoosh on the lateral toe side of the shoe, white Nike Air branding on the tongue, and DSM logos on both the heel and insole.
