Alexander Wang and adidas have been periodically launching new additions to their extensive collection. Today, adidas revealed the third drop of the year, including new apparel and exciting new sneaker: the Turnout Trainer.

Alexander Wang and adidas first launched their collaborative line in early 2017 to much fanfare from his followers. The theme of Wang’s line with the Three Stripes has always had an air of ruggedness or being unfinished. The clothes were made to look inside out, and the shoes featured exposed lacing systems and upside-down branding. Now, Alexander Wang and adidas are taking the next step, and releasing a collection based on factory rejects.

The most exciting addition to their line is the new shoe releasing alongside the apparel, titled the Turnout Trainer. The new sneaker follows the same design cues as previous pairs, making use of high-end materials in a haphazard construction. The Turnout features a new midsole with the signature three-color system, separating the sole into different sections. To emphasize the “factory rejects” theme, the new sneaker features a sample tag underneath the mesh toebox.  The Turnout Trainer will debut in two colorways, one in core black with orange accents and the other in grey with black finishes.
