Adding to the litany of new shoes that Jordan Brand will be releasing throughout 2018, the new Air Jordan 5 Orange Peel is reminiscent of the New York Knicks.

Michael Jordan’s signature sneaker from 1990 will return for 2018, this time abiding by the new creative rules Jordan Brand has set themselves for the year. The brands new directives include increasing the quality of their releases as well as the frequency, decreasing the availability, and focusing on strong color palettes that create iconic shoes. This iteration of the Air Jordan V begins with a creamy off-white upper. The color is almost the same as last year’s “Sail” Jordan 1, a beautiful rendition of the model featuring soft, supple leather. Hopefully, this same color indicates the use of the same materials, providing this Jordan 5 with a hefty quality feel. To contrast the upper, the inner lining of the shoe is dyed in deep navy blue, which is set off by the bright orange tongue. The sole of the shoe features more layers of both navy blue and orange, adding much needed color to the shoe while maintaining a simple, clean look. While only photoshop renderings of the shoe are available, they provide a clear picture as to what the shoe will look like.
