The Air Jordan 5 has kept a low profile in 2018, though that is expected to change next year. While releases were few and far between this year, we now have our first look at the “Laney” pack, scheduled for early in 2019.

The Air Jordan 5 is not always listed as one of the brand’s hallmark silhouettes. However, it does have an extensive and storied history on the feet of Michael Jordan himself, which has led it to become a premier model from the brand. This year, JB has plans to release just a couple colorways of the Jordan 5, keeping with their limited release schedule. The first pair leaked several months ago, originally thought to be a Knicks shoe. Now, a premium new Air Jordan 5 has surfaced online with a release slated for next year, bringing the 5 into 2018. The new Jordan 5 to finally surface online is going by the name “Laney” and references Mike’s North Carolina high school days. The silhouette is covered in a dark blue suede upper, with yellow highlights on the inside and along the outer details. The colors are a direct reference to Laney High, and are rumored to also be used on a second colorway which covers the Jordan 5 predominantly in yellow.
