The Air Jordan 3 Tinker made its debut this year as an anniversary version of the coveted silhouette. After a few releases, the new look seemed to fade away. Now, we know that the Tinker 3’s will return in the famous “Katrina” look next year.
Tinker Hatfield probably had a hand in one of your favorite shoes. That’s just the way it is. The man has been a part of the Nike DNA for so long, that there is a great chance one of the innovative technologies on your feet were created by him. Enter the Air Jordan 3, widely regarded as the most iconic athletic wear of all time. Tinker built the 1988 model to fit Mike’s style of play in the early years of his career. After serving him well on the court, the Jordan 3 got it’s second life away from basketball. Now, Jordan Brand is paying homage to Tinker’s original design of the 3. Remaining almost exactly the same as the original, this new NRG model adds a Nike Swoosh to the lateral side, as well as Nike branding on the medial ankle. These are completely new additions to the 3, and completely divert the aesthetic direction of the shoe. The latest colorway of the Air Jordan 3 “Tinker” to surface takes another classic look for the 3 and flips it for the new upgrade. This time, the white and red “Katrina” pair that was originally only released at auction will receive the premium Swoosh upgrade.

The “Katrina” version of the Air Jordan 3 Tinker is rumored to drop on March 30th, 2019. For $200, the new look Jordan 3 will launch from both Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
