Jordan Brand will re-release the highly sought-after red and black Air Jordan 12 Retro “Flu Game,” which was first released in 1997. The pair will feature an updated shape that mirrors the OG pair.
The Air Jordan 12 Retro “Flu Game” was first released in 1997 in recognition of Michael Jordan wearing them as he scored 38 points, and led his team to victory in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz while suffering ‘flu-like’ symptoms. They were re-released again in 2003, 2009, and 2016. The latest 2025 version will feature the full black upper with varsity red accents, the main difference being an all-leather upper as opposed to the 2009 nubuck one. For collectors and enthusiasts, the pair will come in a box featuring the revered “Nike Air” logo.
