The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG has seen an uptake in popularity the last few years, marked by the addition of several brand new colorways for the shoe. Among these is the coveted “Shattered Backboard” theme, which recently surfaced in a Satin makeup.

The original “Shattered Backboard” Air Jordan 1 Retro is still a neckbreaker almost two years later, causing sneakerheads everywhere to snap their head towards whichever lucky person has them on feet. Now, recent leaks have reported that the colorway will return in 2018, with an updated construction and a limited size run built for women. Modeled after the satin “Bred” and “Royal” Retro Jordan 1 colorways from recent years, the new women’s “Shattered Backboard” upper will be made entirely from satin for a soft, luxurious feel. According to one source of the leak, Instagram account Perryprophets, the latest satin Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG will release only in women’s’ sizing, a massive disappointment for men with feet above a size 10.

No release information has been shared regarding the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Shattered Backboard”, though they are expected to release sometime this year. Despite this, a retail price of $175 has been floated out with the early images but remains largely unconfirmed. Quantities are expected to be extremely limited, as was the case with the original two satin Jordan 1’s, which both totaled under 1,000 pairs worldwide. Check out the early rendering as well as a supposed early pair below, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for a release date.
