Originally released in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 “Shadow” has been highly sought after since it’s last release in 2013. Despite the popularity of the low version from 2015, Jordan Brand is ready to bring it back in 2018.

The last several years have been a strange time for Jordan Brand. The most anticipated retros like “True Blue” 3s and “Motorsport” 4s sat on shelves for months after their releases, despite being heavily discounted in an attempt to move them faster. But Jordan has had enough, and are executing plans to return the brand to the forefront of sneaker popularity, and maintain the limited factor that made Jordan’s so special collectors for decades. Part of this plan is to reduce the number of retail partners that Jordan Brand distributes to, while also upping the number of releases for popular models like the Air Jordan 1, which is rumored to drop in over 30 colorways in 2018. The first of these 30 shoes to leak is the Air Jordan 1 High OG Retro “Shadow”, a black and grey rendition with an obsessive following. The Shadow 1 features an all black upper with grey highlights on the Swoosh, toe cap, ankle, and heel, accompanied by a white midsole, and black outsole. The 2018 version appears to feature the same tumbled leather previously seen on the “Bred” and “Royal” Jordan 1’s from 2016 and 2017 respectively, which aims to appease the die-hard collectors.
