The Air Jordan 1 “Bred” has seen countless iterations throughout the years, including wild materials, crazy colorways, and updated designs. Now, it appears the most famous shoe on Earth will finally see a patent leather makeup later this year.

The Air Jordan 1 is probably the most recognizable shoe on the planet, and it’s original black and red, or “Bred” makeup is easily the most popular version. The “Bred” iteration has seen it’s fair share of retros, re-releases, and updates throughout the years, though nothing like what Jordan Brand has in store for 2018. In addition to the crazy new Jordan 1 “Rebel” for women, the Air Jordan 1 “Bred” will release in a never-before-seen patent leather construction this Spring. The entire upper of the shoe will be made from the stiff and shiny material, building off of popular releases from this year like the “Gold Toe” patent leather Jordan 1 that had collectors foaming at the mouth during All-Star Weekend. Few details are currently available about the shoe, although the full name suggests that the shoe will feature a premium build and feel.
