adidas’ legendary ZX franchise is back in full force this year. After some soft releases to test the water in 2018, the running family is back in full force, including the ZX4000 OG in a new cream-based color scheme.

The adidas ZX family is back in full swing for 2019. Most notably, the fan-favorite ZX500 was the first adidas shoe to receive the Restomod treatment, as well as the legendary ZX4000 receiving a stunning Futurecraft 4D upgrade. Additionally, one release that flew somewhat under the radar was the ZX4000 in all of its OG glory. The 80s runner first reappeared on shelves in December 2018 in the classic ZX baby blue colorway, just ahead of the silhouette’s 4D release. Now, the all-time great ZX silhouette is back with a brand new color scheme. This time around, the mesh base and suede overlays are dyed in a smooth cream color, with black accents along the quarter panel, inner lining, and toe box. The Three Stripe branding comes in pink with tiny maroon hits, while small blue and green features adorn the branding and midsole components.
