The adidas Yung-1 will be following us into 2019. First launched this year in a wide variety of colorways, we know now that adidas is planning to kick off the new year with a fresh release of the Yung-1, including this simple black and white take on January 1st.

The adidas Yung-1 had a great year in 2018. After making its debut back in June, the revamped 90’s silhouette is fully back in action. While the first few releases included far out color schemes to help draw attention to itself, the Yung-1 slowly chilled out over the course of the year. Soon enough, adidas was releasing OG Falcondorf colorways on the updated look, bringing the cycle full circle for many old-school adidas heads. This month, adidas has given us a small teaser of what to expect in 2019, and they are certainly planning on starting the year right. First up will be a plain black iteration of the Yung-1, covering the entire upper in solid black, and resting it on top of a simple white midsole. While we have already seen a triple black version, this is the first time we’ve seen such a simple black and white take on the popular Three Stripes sneaker.
