Yohji Yamamoto has been working with adidas on his Y-3 label for over a decade now. Yohji’s passion for excellence is well documented in his work, which will now include a collaborative adidas BYW collection with Rockets star James Harden.

The adidas Y-3 line has a longer history than most immediately assume. In October 2002, Yohji and adidas announced a new partnered brand together that would change the direction of athletic wear and fashion as the world knew it. Combining the sporting heritage of the Three Stripes with his own fashion forward look, the Y-3 line was a catalyst for the modern movement centered around interesting and acutely designed sportswear. Now, more than 15 years later, Y-3 is once again adopting the latest in adidas technologies for a hot new silhouette. This idea itself is not new for Yohji, however, this time, adidas athlete and NBA superstar James Harden will be the face of the campaign, which includes a shoe inspired by his own. Introducing the Y-3 BYW BBall, the culmination of Yamamoto’s eclectic designs and adidas’ newly upgraded Boost You Wear.
