adidas’ Ultra Boost franchise is coming back strong this year. With the success of the UB 2019, adidas has returned to some of their previous models to upgrade construction or color, like the two new Ultra Boost Uncaged shoes, dropping tomorrow.
The adidas Ultra Boost has gone through a multitude of different iterations in its first few years, resulting in styling and design built for just about anyone. One of these various versions of the original construction is the Uncaged silhouette, a sock-like take on the Ultra Boost that removed the stiff plastic cages in favor of a more supportive and flexible knit upper. At the time, the Uncaged Ultra Boost went relatively unnoticed, thanks to other high-profile collaborations that removed the cage in a much more attractive manner. However, the Uncaged persists, finally returning this month in two new colorways. The first of these new looks covers the Primeknit upper in a mix of grey and blue shades, the result of which almost feels like a Parley collaboration. The second pair dresses the knit upper in various shades of red and purple.

The adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged is officially set to return after a brief hiatus on March 7th, 2019. The two new color schemes for the slimmed down silhouette will retail for their usual $180 from both adidas and select retailers.
