Last year, adidas debuted the “Oreo” colorway of the current Ultra Boost model to massive success. The 3.0 iteration sold out immediately, and still does moderately well on the aftermarket. Now for 2018, adidas has recently released the Ultra Boost 4.0 Oreo.

The Ultra Boost is back for 2018. This time around, the shoe will use a mix of old and new colorways and color blocking to freshen up the silhouette. Among those that will be reused is the “Oreo” variation that originally debuted on the 3.0 model. While very similar to last year’s iteration, there are key differences added that seem to be inspired by consumer’s custom adaptations of the shoe. One of the most popular differences made by sneakerheads was the blacking-out of the signature Boost midsole. adidas has gone ahead and done it themselves this time, though instead of using black, they opted for a deep gunmetal grey. The second most notable change is to the supportive TPU cage on either side. On last year’s “Oreo” Ultra Boost, the cage was semi-translucent, where as this year they have a simple white cage instead. The Primeknit upper utilizes the same mix of white, grey, and black throughout the knit as the original, and features the same black & white laces.
