adidas Consortium collaborations are marked by their quality and attention to detail. With a lengthy list of the special store accounts to choose from, adidas has handed Germany’s Solebox the reigns new Quesence and PureBoost DPR colorways.
Solebox and adidas have a long history of working with each other. Both brands are based in Germany, meaning they likely have a lot of shared history and stories to utilize. Over the years, the two have released some of the most exciting shoes around, like one of the first uncaged Ultra Boost shoes from 2016. Now, adidas is giving them two more silhouettes to work on for release this Summer.
The Solebox x adidas “Run” pack is like a pseudo-time capsule of Thre Stripes running technology. Consisting of the new Quesence and PureBoost DPR silhouettes, both shoes feature a mostly neutral colorway with small hits of pink, a Solebox signature look. First, the Quesence uses a mix of off-white, cream, and grey for its layered suede and mesh upper. Inserts around the heel and forefoot yield the small spots of pink the shoes are known for. Next, the PureBoost DPR appears to be receiving a premium upgrade for this release. The upper on this pair appears to be constructed from Primeknit around the toe and midfoot, while suede layering takes over the heel, collar, and tongue. Most of the shoe will come in shades of grey, with pink hitting both dual pull-tabs.
SOLEBOX X ADIDAS QUESENCE & PUREBOOST DPR RELEASE INFORMATION
The new Solebox x adidas collaboration will launch on May 12th, 2018 at Solebox first before receiving a wider release on May 19th. The Quesence and PureBoost DPR shoes feature similar colorways and different price points.
