adidas and Pharrell Williams are always cooking up something new for their fans. This time, the two shared their next potential silhouette at ComplexCon, even releasing it in extremely limited numbers.

Pharrell and adidas Originals are constantly expanding their collaborative line, and 2018 has held the largest bit of growth for them yet. Having already introduced the Hu Solar Glide, Tennis Hu V2 and Hu BYW this year, adidas and Skateboard P spent their time at ComplexCon well, unveiling another new silhouette for their arsenal. Released in extremely limited numbers via adidas’ Augmented Reality release procedure at the convention, the POD Hu is an entirely new look for the franchise. Resting atop a standard Point of Deflection midsole, the upper is lifted directly from the recent BYW X silhouette. Using varying pieces of Primeknit, the shoes mid cut shape is identified by different textures throughout, and prominent heel and tongue pull tabs. The lacing system has even been rehauled, taking inspiration directly from the Hu NMD. The plastic lace cage features the same customizable options, only this time features a supportive TPU bar extending behind the heels to connect the cages to one another.

Pharrell’s take on the adidas POD System 3.1 has not been announced with any plans for a wider release, so, for now, ComplexCon 2018 was the only way to obtain a pair. If they ever do make it to market, their retail price will likely be above and beyond the standard $130 POD price tag, if his signature NMD line tells us anything.
