The adidas POD 3.1 is finally taking on a new look. After a year of slow releases in mostly plain colorways, the Three Stripes is ready to go back to work on the retro-infused silhouette. Check out the new Primeknit adidas POD 3.1, coming in March.

The adidas POD 3.1 first leaked just over a year ago before hitting shelves in half of that time. Now, the radical new silhouette is in need of an upgrade. This week, on foot images of the POD 3.1 have appeared online, showing an interesting new look for the history-filled silhouette. While you may not notice the changes right off the bat, they are a big deal. Instead of keeping with the traditional mesh upper every POD colorway has released with so far, adidas has decided to refresh the silhouette with their signature Primeknit material. The new upper is a great look for the POD 3.1, and an excellent upgrade. The knit appears to vary in strength and flexibility in certain areas, allowing it to adapt as you go. Needless to say, we’re pretty excited to check these out when they drop next month.
