The recently released NMD STLT has yet to live up to it’s full potential. The original drop included several hot colorways that flew under the radar as patterned Primeknit NMDs. Now, adidas is adding to the line with the adidas NMD R1 STLT PK Triple Black.

This rendition of the STLT is as simple and clean as they come. Starting off with black Boost that is supported by black EVA plugs, as well as an all black outsole, the murdered out sole matches the upper perfectly. This version of the textured upper comes in two very similar colors, black and deep grey. Like most adidas Primeknit, the knit is constructed from three main yarns that are made from three even smaller strings combined. This allows the Three Stripes to add 6 different colors, or even up to 9 to the knit upper of a shoe. On this NMD, almost all the knit is black. One or two of the small threads making up the main yarns are grey, giving the upper a shaded look that varies the color between the stripes that add structural support throughout the shoe. Typically, the white NMD branding would be the most interesting detail of the shoe, but in this case the inner sock liner comes in a magnificent pink color. An unusual addition to a triple black color scheme, this pop of hot pink adds some rarely seen flare to the shoe.
