After two years of the standard NMD_R1, adidas has unleashed the NMD R1 STLT, a new Primeknit variation with a wavy upper perfect for a slew of fresh new colorways. One of these will be the “Linen” iteration, coming in February.
The Primeknit on the new NMD R1 STLT is knit slightly looser, giving it a more porous look and an airier feel. The design can be identified by the stripes ascending from the midsole, providing a welcome change in pattern as well as the support the shoe gives. This “Linen” iteration blankets the STLT in a creamy-off-white color. Orange strands are mixed into the knit sparingly, adding a much needed, but very minimal touch of color. The lateral and medial EVA heel pods that are standard to the NMD series are dyed in the same orange, along with the NMD branding along the pull tab. The shoe is finished off with a white Boost midsole, and clear gum outsole.
