adidas is expanding their palette of footwear colors this year, taking inspiration largely from the signature lines of Kanye and Pharrell along the way. One such colorway to be adopted by standard adidas models is a “Sesame” theme, seen on an upcoming NMD_R1.
The adidas NMD_R1 will continue it’s dominant run in the commercial market this year. Debuted in 2015, little has changed from the original model, save for a material update that transitioned the shoe from a mesh upper to a more flexible knit. Since then, adidas has had an almost unparalleled run of great looking lifestyle models. Now, official images of a new iteration of the NMD_R1 have surfaced, this time taking on a new “Sesame” colorway that will decorate several Three Stripes’ models this season. This new version sees the NMD decked in a tan, slightly off-white color. The knit constructing the upper uses different threads to give a shaded look to the shoe, while use of varying shades on the EVA midsole pods, 3-stripe branding, and laced add depth to the new colorway.
ADIDAS NMD_R1 “SESAME” RELEASE INFORMATION
The latest addition to the adidas NMD palette has not yet received an official release date. The shoe is expected to drop sometime this year along with several other models in similar colorways.
