The adidas NMD line is no stranger to a change or switch-up in the design. With Summer approaching, adidas is moving towards more breathable kicks, and it looks like the NMD_R1 is following suit with a new knit pattern.
The adidas NMD continues to hold down the brand’s lifestyle front. First introduced in 2015, the sleek and edgy silhouette has grown to become one of the most common everyday shoes on the market. With this widespread popularity in mind, adidas has gone to work innovating the simple upper for a more Spring & Summer ready appearance.
The latest adidas NMD_R1 pack is one of the cleanest trios from the brand yet. Coming in tonal grey, black, and white, this R1 replaces the standard mesh upper with a more flexible knit piece. The renovated material shares similar aesthetic influences to ClimaCool technology, most notably the Clima Ultra Boost from earlier this year. Given the comparable visuals, we can assume the refined NMD knit will be slightly more breathable and effortless to wear. Each simple colorway features matching molded EVA sole inserts along with white Boost and a gum outsole.
ADIDAS NMD_R1 KNIT JUNE COLLECTION RELEASE INFORMATION
The next collection of neutral adidas NMD_R1 colorways will launch on June 1st, 2018. The grey, white, and black iterations will all retail for $130 from adidas and select retailers.
