The adidas NMD_CS1 was a game-changing shoe when it first dropped. Enjoyed by both male and female fans of the brand, the silhouette was a hit. Now, the Three Stripes is making some slight alterations to the design, just for the NMD-crazy ladies out there.

adidas’ recent push to specifically produce sneakers for women has paid off tremendously. Recently, the brand launched Arkyn, a brand new Boost-heavy lifestyle silhouette by women, for women. While the look of the shoe wasn’t perfect, the idea was a great starting point, and they’ve been building on it. Yesterday, we brought news that the Three Stripes would be refining their new NMD_STLT silhouette to fit women’s feet a little better. Now, we also have word that a mysterious new City Sock look was also made just for the ladies.

The adidas NMD_CS1 fist launched in 2016, as the brand’s timely answer to the laceless trend. Combining a single-piece Primeknit upper with the signature NMD midsole proved to be a sleek and comfortable look, and the silhouette took off. Now, in 2018, adidas has slightly refined their design. The new look features a protruding ribbed section in the center. This differs from the original in that the central section was not raised, and typically runs diagonally over the midfoot. While the technical details of this change are not yet readily available, we can assume it is intended to provide better lockdown for women’s feet.
