The adidas NMD City Sock was a shocking shoe when it first released, due to the knit upper and laceless construction. Now, the Three Stripes is looking to revive the sleek Boost sneaker with a beautiful new white and purple colorway coming in March.

The adidas NMD_CS1 fist launched in 2016, as the brand’s timely answer to the laceless trend. Combining a single-piece Primeknit upper with the signature NMD midsole proved to be a sleek and comfortable look, and the silhouette took off. Then, in 2018, adidas slightly refined their design. The new look features a protruding ribbed section in the center. This differs from the original in that the central section was not raised, and typically runs diagonally over the midfoot. Based on the women’s colorways of this new look that released last year, we know that this provides more stable lockdown across the midfoot. For the first release, this new NMD_CS1 came in white with peach colored accents, a theme adidas is sticking with for their latest release. Although, instead the peach color has been replaced with a vibrant purple hue.
