The adidas NMD City Sock was a shocking shoe when it first released, due to the knit upper and laceless construction. Now, the Three Stripes is looking to revive the sleek Boost sneaker with a luxurious Premium pack launching this July.
The adidas NMD_CS1 is a fan favorite of the Nomad franchise. First released in 2016, the sleek laceless shoe made waves due to its comfort and stylish looks, selling out everywhere with each new release. Because of its popularity, the original iteration of the City Sock can be somewhat difficult to find, as pairs are either worn or carry a hefty deadstock price tag. Luckily, adidas is giving us another shot at the coveted silhouette.
Next month, the adidas Originals team returns to work on the NMD_CS1 silhouette, this time with a new premium twist. The CS1 Lux features the same Primeknit upper as the original, paired with an OG NMD midsole. The luxurious twist comes in the form of leather layovers on the medial side, along with a leather heel tab with NMD branding on the back. Similar to the Trace Cargo pair we shared earlier this year, this second pair comes with a monotone upper, this time in Core Black.
ADIDAS NMD_CS1 LUX CORE BLACK RELEASE INFORMATION
The adidas NMD_CS1 Lux pack is set to launch on July 1st, 2018. The two-pair collection will launch from worldwide retailers as well as adidas, for an expected $180.
