The adidas Never Made collection was a hit for the brand. Combining old silhouettes with new technology is always a hit, so much so that adidas has decided to keep producing one of the new looks, now renamed as the Marathon Tech.

It looks as if adidas’ Marathon silhouette is going to stick around for 2019. The shoe originally returned this year in its original form, and then again as a part of the “Never Made” collection, which fused the uppers from past icons onto the latest and greatest adidas technology underfoot. The Marathon was fused with last year’s I-5923, AKA the Iniki. The hybrid silhouette created by these two was easily one of the best looking from the collection, though it was likely not the most hyped. Despite this, adidas has decided that the combined shoes will stick around, issuing a handful of new colors to invigorate the new look. While many of these colors have already launched overseas thanks to the popularity there, the US release occurred online in the dead of night. The two colorways include one in black with red branding and accents, while the other is a much softer off-white tone with neon yellow additions. Both pairs rest atop the adidas I-5923 Boost midsole, with an added Dellinger web for support.
