adidas is making their mark in 2018. The Brand with the Three Stripes has gone all ion this year, creating wild new silhouettes to feed their growing demand. The latest shoe to join the fray is the Kamanda, now scheduled to release later this month.

adidas is always paying attention to what’s hot. After they dropped the new Prophere silhouette earlier this year, responses to the bulky sneaker suggested that it was a little too big and much heavier than necessary. While this was all a part of the design and idea behind the shoe, adidas heard their fans and are back with a new similar offering. The adidas Kamanda shares an eerily similar look to the Prophere, though it is significantly toned down from the other shoe. The upper features a similar sleek design, though instead opts for a single piece of suede instead of knitting. The tongue and heel tab hold their distinctive shapes, part of what makes the Kamanda silhouette interesting from any angle. A brand new outsole was designed for the new silhouette, making use of small rubber nubs in parallel lines. Each line faces the opposite direction of the last, ensuring that each bulb provides extra grip and traction.
