adidas has always valued creativity. When Miadidas first launched, it gave fans of the brand their first chance to design their own Three Stripes shoe. Now, the lineup has grown significantly, and the adidas I-5923 is the latest addition.
adidas fans have been clamoring for more current lifestyle silhouettes to be added to the brands in-house customization app, Miadidas. Finally, their prayers are being answered with the latest casual Boost footwear, the I-5923. Originally known as the Iniki before legal issues forced a name change, the I-5923 has quickly grown to one of the most comfortable adidas silhouettes currently available. The shoe layers a soft, flexible textile upper with faux-suede for added support, parts of an adidas design language mainly popular in the 60s and 70s. The old school look is then rocketed into the future with the addition of a full-length Boost midsole.
March 2018 marks a new direction for the adidas I-5923. With many new colorways coming to retailers throughout the year and having recently released in a landmark collaboration with Neighborhood, the Three Stripes has a new plan for the 70s inspired silhouette. The adidas I-5923 is fully customizable with the brand’s Miadidas web app and available for purchase now. For the time being, the available colors are somewhat basic, though they do allow for a large configuration of beautiful colorways. The chosen colors include mostly primary hues as well as neutral tones that all fit with the shoe’s 1970’s feel very well.
The adidas I-5923 is the first adidas Originals shoe with Boost to be featured in the Miadidas customization hub. The lightweight runner will come with a $150 price tag to put your own twist on it, though this does come with added details like an insole with your name in an all-over print.
