adidas Boost technology has found its way onto every type of shoe from the brand. However, the basketball category is ready for a fresh start, and adidas has just the thing. Take a look at the new Marquee Boost coming later this year.

The adidas Basketball family is getting an upgrade. While signature lines from James Harden, Damian Lillard, and Derrick Rose continue to impress on-court, the Three Stripes is looking to add something a little more standard to their lineup. Enter the new Marquee Boost. Built for the basketball court, the new silhouette from adidas’ hoops sector was recently revealed in their Spring/Summer catalog for 2019.

The new adidas Marquee Boost is an interesting look for the brand’s basketball line. The silhouette begins with a mesh base for the upper, with several overlays crossing the midfoot for support. Additionally, the collars are molded into shape and then thickened with extra padding for better ankle support. The upper sits atop a full-length Boost midsole, which is protected by a herringbone pattern outsole for grip on the court. The lateral side of the toe appears to feature some sort of rubber or plastic barrier to provide a more stiff feel when cutting. This week, adidas has finally announced the silhouette for release. The initial offerings include a handful of colorways, including PE’s for John Wall and Kristaps Porzingis.

The next adidas Boost basketball sneaker will makeĀ it’s debut on December 1st, 2018 in select colorways. The Marquee Boost will launch first in the mid-top cut this December, with the low-top iteration following shortly after in February 2019.
