A new adidas EQT Support 93/17 “Yuanxiao” has officially been revealed. The shoes feature a black, red, and white color scheme and are set to drop later this year.
The adidas EQT Support 93/17, introduced in January 2017, was one of the most popular sneaker of 2017. Featuring boost technology, the adidas EQT Support 93/17 mixed style and comfort seamlessly. Looking to continue its momentum into 2018, adidas will be releasing a black, red and white version of the adidas EQT Support 93/17 dubbed the “Yuanxiao.” Yuanxiao in Chinese means Lantern Festival, a Chinese Festival that signals the last day of the Chinese New Year festivities. The upper will come in a black reflective mesh, with a subtle wave-like pattern running over the toes. The interior panel of the shoe will come constructed from pigskin nubuck, and feature the embroidered EQT Support motif on top. The heel and lateral slice will also be constructed from nubuck, providing slightly stiffer support around the heel as needed. These pieces remain in black, accompanied as well by the molded TPU heel cap that continues around up the ankle. The classic webbed stripes along the sides come in a bright red, and are matched by the plush interior lining in the same hue. The famous molded Boost midsole takes on a brand new color for the first time, imitating the Three Stripes’ latest technological advancement, Futurecraft, in a soft “Ash Green” color. To finish off the EQT 93/17 Yuanxiao, a translucent red outsole protects the Boost from concrete.

The latest addition adidas’ 2018 Chinese New Year lineup will celebrate the march Lantern festival, and is scheduled for release slightly before then, on February 23rd. Priced at the standard $180, this limited EQT Support 93/17 “Yuanxiao” is a nice pickup for those interested in the silhouette.
