The adidas EQT line made a glorious return to the sneaker scene back in 2015. After several great years building upon the classic styling, images have surfaced of a special collection of EQT models with a brand new design.
The adidas Equipment family has a storied history in the sneaker world. First introduced in the early 1990’s by Peter Moore, the line was intended to reinvigorate the Brand with the Three Stripes and bring something new to the table. The central theme of the EQT range was to remove the excess flare adidas had been experimenting with in the 80’s, and only provide consumers with what was essential.
adidas is all about innovation. With both past and current models receiving yearly updates and fresh colorways, it’s no surprise that the EQT line has added over a dozen new silhouettes to its ranks since the return. Now, leaked images show several different colorways of a new EQT Primeknit sock-like model. The new silhouette is similar to the recent EQT Support Mid PK that released early this year, though this new version shrugs off the restraint of laces, instead opting for a single-piece Primeknit upper similar to the popular adidas NMD City Sock. Three colorways have been revealed so far, and images of the heel tabs show they are numbered 1/3, 2/3, and 3/3, This may be a nod to different sample variations as each upper is somewhat different, or they are similar to 2015’s EQT F15 pack. The different colorways shown in leaked images feature a mix of EQT green, grey, white, and black, all atop the current EQT Support sole.
There has been no word of a release date for the new addition to the adidas EQT family. The shoes featured in photos from Sneakerjamz are not accompanied by sample or release info, so expect the innovative new EQT look to arrive either late in 2018 or, more likely, sometime in 2019.
