adidas 4D technology has been making the rounds on social media again. As the brand continues to release it’s new Consortium 4D series, we have our first look at the hybrid 4D-5923, now set to drop sometime this Spring.

adidas & Carbon first debuted their collaborative midsole technology last year. Dubbed Futurecraft 4D, the new tech was designed to be customizable and adaptable for any need. The new midsole has released slowly throughout the year, trickling out in limited releases around the world. Despite this, 4D technology is rumored to be released in much wider numbers in the coming months. This week, we have our first look at one of the next adidas 4D releases, the 4D-5923.

First leaked earlier this year, the adidas 4D-5923 is a part of the brand’s upcoming Hybrids collection. The new project is exactly what the name implies, splicing multiple adidas silhouettes together almost seamlessly. While the full extent of the adidas Hybrids collection is unknown, the EQT_ZX, Marathon-5923, and a triplet of NMD_R1 hybrids recently surfaced online.

As the name implies, the new adidas 4D-5923 removes the Boost midsole from the I-5923 and places a shiny new 4D in its stead. The last time we saw this silhouette was when the project was still in mock-up form and a sample pair was not available yet. Now, we see just have easily the Three Stripes were able to splice together the two pieces. The shape of the new 4D midsole is almost exactly the same as the previous version, taking away nothing from the I-5923’s profile.
