adidas celebrates individuality, creativity, and inclusion. With these principles in mind, the Three Stripes releases a yearly LGBT Pride collection each Summer. After an early look several months ago, we now have full images of the PureBoost DPR coming in June.

The PureBoost DPR is one of adidas’ best performance running options. Launched in 2017 as a more supportive cousin to the looser new PureBoost design, the DPR featured a more standardized sneaker construction and fit. The PureBoost DPR begins with a knit upper, reinforced by extra padding around the ankles. Despite the sock-like fit of the upper, a normal tongue is featured to provide more padding over the midfoot. To provide a more balanced fit, the heels use adidas’ signature Fitcounter technology to keep you locked in place. The most interesting specification for the PureBoost DPR is the shoe’s eight-millimeter midsole drop.  This means that the sole is thicker in the heel than the toe, meaning your foot is given more support where it is needed most.

The adidas PureBoost DPR “Pride” is one of the more simple colorways from the upcoming collection. The limited edition LGBT sneakers feature a special construction for this pair. Instead of the standard knit upper, the Pride DPR uses Primeknit for an ultra-lightweight feel. The upper comes mostly in a creamy off-white tone, highlighted only by the tri-tone red stripes on each side. The adidas PureBoost DPR “Pride” is completed by a limited edition polka dot insole with a new “Love” graphic.

The 2018 adidas Pride collection is set to release early this Summer in June. Each pair takes on a different set of core colors than the last, making for an ultra-unique collection. Similar to past iterations of the adidas Pride pack, a portion of the money made will be donated to LGBT charities.
